2. Blood Donation Eligibility

  • Users must be 18 years or older to donate blood.

  • Blood donors must wait at least 4 months between donations.

  • Children under 13 years old are not permitted to use the app.

3. Blood Donation Requests

Lifeline allows users to request blood by entering the required blood type and location. The app will display potential donors nearby, and users can initiate contact through a “Call” button.

4. Use of Data

We use your data to:

  • Match users with nearby donors or recipients.

  • Send real-time notifications for urgent blood needs.

  • Improve the app’s user experience and services.

  • Ensure safety and compliance with medical standards.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except when legally required.

5. Location Data

We collect precise and background location data to:

  • Identify donors and recipients nearby.

  • Send emergency blood alerts, even when the app is not in use.

Background location is only used for critical alerts and is optional. You can manage this permission at any time through your device settings.

Lifeline may request access to the following device features:

  • Location (Foreground & Background): To find and notify nearby users about blood donation opportunities.

  • Phone Calls: To initiate contact between users.

  • Camera & Storage: To upload prescriptions or related documents.

You will be asked for explicit consent before any permission is used. The purpose of each request will be clearly explained within the app.

7. Health Content

Lifeline is a health-related app that helps manage blood donation needs. All health features are designed to support donation matching and user awareness. This app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

8. Security of Your Data

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your personal and health-related data. However, no transmission or storage method is 100% secure. Users should take precautions when sharing sensitive information.

9. Third-Party Services

Lifeline may use trusted third-party services such as:

  • Google Maps API for displaying location-based features.

  • Firebase Analytics to monitor app performance and bugs.
